Course Outline:

Bread flower clay, as the name suggests, originally used bread crumbs as its main ingredient. It is said that this craft originated in Mexico. When people make a sandwich, they collect all the cut edges from the bread and keep them in the refrigerator, then add super glue to bind the ingredients together to become the bread flower clay; then they are applied with oil painted colors to achieve different finished products.

When bread flower clay was first discovered, the clay would need to be compressed, to increase its toughness, which then could be turned into real and beautiful flowers. The bread flower clay, with which we are familiar now, is actually composed of paper pulp as its' main source of raw materials, which matches up more with the public expectations of an ideal material.

The course uses different kinds of materials sourced from Japan and Taiwan. Students, especially children with wild imaginations, can easily create unique works by using the plastic and stretchable bread flower clay without restriction! It can help children to train their hands and minds coordination, developing their coloring skills and also discovering children's aesthetic sensitivity.
